We easily forget the New Year resolutions and become frustrated and self-
critical. The secret is in your attitude adjustment. It really does matter how and
why you treat yourself in a certain way. As a result of a new attitude, you will feel
that you deserve only the best this world offers. Changing your attitude to a winning
and self-supporting force will override any and all shortcomings.Your attitude
is like a vitamin, in that, vitamins are a miniscule fraction that sustains
your life cycle. Hence, your attitude serves as your mental vitamin
because it gives you the “little thing” that
makes a big difference.

The big goal is just a puzzle that is made out of many smaller pieces.
The overwhelming size of what we plan to gain (or should I say lose) might
seem intimidating. Making self-promises is not enough either. Write your short
and long term goals into your schedule, thus making them more accessible. My
program is broken down into smaller steps for you to experience strength
through the mini-victories. In addition, every step is properly
rewarded. In this way you are "immunized" from self-doubt
bug. Thus, impossibility will be broken down
into possibilities.

Positive attitude becomes increasingly beneficial when it creates a
pleasant social circle around you. Seeing the reflection of yourself in the eyes
of your friends and fans is always encouraging. Besides, being honored, loved, and
respected by such a crowd, builds confidence. With this guard, no depression,
no apathy, and no panic can touch you. As your popularity grows, your
positive attitude rises as well. Positive beliefs and positive
attitudes are contagious. You share it and
receive it in return.

I have not found serious scientific work done on the subject
of “laughter." So, what?! Would you ever deny that laughter helps
in resolving conflict and/or complex problems in its own silly way?
Laughter is a part of the body’s psychosomatic network that carries healing
potential. In the book “Anatomy of an Illness," Norman Cousin described
his own recovery from the a life-threatening illness through the use
of laughter. Scientific research shows that laughter triggers
release of endorphins which relieve pain, and can actually
enhance the healing process. There is overwhelming
evidence that laughter soothes depression,
brings about optimism, and brightens
up your world.

If the rhythm feels contagious and if it makes you start moving to the beat,
start dancing. Let the fear of making the wrong steps disappear. Your body, in dance,
feels weightless and beautiful. The Turkish Belly dancers and Polynesian dancers
are known for their full-figured features. They charm the audience as the
flow of their bodies resemble the flow of the ocean. Dance turns out
to be amazingly powerful in awakening catatonic patients, as
described in the book by Dr. Oliver Sacks. My point is:
enjoy your curves while you are losing extra
weight. Never underestimate the healing
and trimming power
of dance.
