I have not found serious scientific work done on the subject of “laughter." So, what?! Would you ever deny that laughter helps in resolving conflict and/or complex problems in its own silly way? Laughter is a part of the body’s psychosomatic network that carries healing potential. In the book “Anatomy of an Illness," Norman Cousin described his own recovery from the a life-threatening illness through the use of laughter. Scientific research shows that laughter triggers release of endorphins which relieve pain, and can actually enhance the healing process. The Turkish Belly dancers and Polynesian dancers are known for their full-figured features. They charm the audience as the flow of their bodies resemble the flow of the ocean. Dance turns out to be amazingly powerful in awakening catatonic patients, as described in the book by Dr. Oliver Sacks. My point is: enjoy your curves while you are losing extra weight.
